Why People Failed to Plan
"I
don't have enough money now to do the things I want
to do. I'll have less if contribute some of it to a
retirement plan."
Nobody
plan to fail; they fail to plan. You buy the books, you
read the books, and then you get stuck. You need to get
over that next hurdle, and that's the action part.
Occasionally, you need a boot in the butt to get there.
Below
are some excuses why people fail to plan. See whether
you can see yourself in any of these:
-
"I
don't have enough money now to do the things I want
to do. I'll have less if contribute some of it to a
retirement plan."
-
"It's not my responsibility to take care of this
financial stuff. It's my my parent's, my employer's,
my partner's, or Uncle Sam's."
-
"I
am planning on receiving an inheritance, so I don't
need to plan."
-
"I
am going to wait until I find the right guy before I
start this financial stuff."
Have
you ever found yourself making any of these excuses? It
is so easy to procrastinate. Procrastination is the
biggest obstacle you will face: your inability to get
started or always thinking you have tomorrow to do it.
Remember what your mother used to say about the road to
hell being paved with good intentions. She was fight!
We're all guilty of it because it does take work and
effort to plan.
